PhotoQt v4.4

New website design (and more info)

Published: 8th of May, 2015

The old design of http://photoqt.org wasn't necessarily bad, yet I wasn't entirely happy with it. It simply didn't look the way I wanted it to. So a couple days ago, I gave it a make-over; The layout is now much simpler, cleaner and brighter - just the way I like it.

However, not only does it look different, it also contains more information:
  1. You can find a roadmap now, containing some of the planned upcoming changes. The list is loosely ordered by priority. That means, that an item higher up in the list generally has a higher priority and is more likely to be implemented sooner. However, the list is not only not yet complete, it also is not set in stone and can change along the way.
  2. The section bugs now contains an (again: incomplete) listing of known bugs since the last stable release and their state (i.e., if they have been fixed on GitHub or not) plus a link to more info (if available online). Currently, the list refers to v1.2 and thus the Qt/QWidgets version of PhotoQt. Once the QML port is ready (wont be long anymore), this list will be updated to the QML version.

Well, that's it for now. Over the next few days, I'm hoping to write a line or two about the QML port and what's going on there (and why I decided to go there)...

Feel free to drop me some feedback about the new website design and the few other changes to it :-)
