PhotoQt is available as Snap package. To install, simply execute:
sudo snap install photoqt
If you are on a Debian derived distribution (like Ubuntu) you can also install PhotoQt from either the official repositories or from a custom PPA, though you might not always get the latest version that way.
If you were using the debian package before and want to switch to the snap package, you can either start fresh, or you can migrate your previous configuration by exporting it from the settings manager ("Manage" tab, "Configuration" subtab) and importing it in the same place once the snap package has been installed. This will restore all settings and shortcuts.
